I’m Alex, and you can find me talking about writing either @alexyuschik on Twitter or read more about me on my personal site.
Experience-wise, I’ve completed two publishing internships: one with literary agent Mary Kole during her time at Moveable Type Management, and one with editor Theresa Cole at Entangled Publishing. I learned a lot, and then joined forces with my friend Kate Brauning for a few years to learn the freelance ropes and in 2018 started Constellation.
I’ve worked with writers looking to refine their manuscripts as they prepare to query or seek traditional publication as well as writers self-publishing. As an editor, I focus primarily on genres and categories that I know best, read, and write in often. I specialize in YA (any genre) and genre fantasy/science fiction, as well as romance. If your story falls outside of those I’d still be happy to take a look at it, but my strengths lie more in those areas than others.
My main goal is to help you develop as a writer. It’s incredibly rewarding seeing my clients grow over time, and it also helps me think about writing in new ways too.
